Some people are of the view that you get to live your best life in your twenties. Ideally, the twenties are seen as the time to catch a dream, settle, find love and perhaps even get married and start a family. Most of us enter the twenties with this belief that by the time we are twenty-five, we would have gotten our lives figured out and sometimes that belief does more damage than good.
Learn to understand that there is no deadline for success, there is no deadline for finding love and there is definitely no deadline for happiness. Don’t let societal expectations, especially about marriage burn you out in your twenties.
Learn to enjoy your twenties; figure out yourself, travel if you can, put yourself out there and meet more people, be spontaneous, be kind, focus on your hobbies and don’t let people’s view of you change your perception of yourself. Do not let anyone burn you out with negativity, I repeat, do not let anyone burn you out.
And remember, the twenties are not about perfection, it is about discovery. You will make a lot of mistakes, but you will emerge a better person. Make the best out of these lovely years.
