A new optical illusion has emerged, supposedly revealing a person’s personality trait based on what they see at first glance when looking at the picture.

Content creator Mia Yilin, from the US, shared a TikTok video showing a mind-boggling image of what appears to be a green leaf and lips.
According to Yilin, what you first decipher in the photograph determines whether you are a “super likeable person” with a stubborn personality, or sensitive and forgiving to avoid confrontations.

So what’s the first thing you see in this picture above? 

Leaf 
“If you first saw the leaf, then you are a super likeable person,” Yilin suggested.

“Social networking is your talent and you can make anyone your friend.”

However, she noted you may seem “very warm and polite on the outside” but you struggle with trust issues.

“In reality, you rarely trust others because you’ve been hurt too many times in the past,” she said.

“You’re also very stubborn. Once you set your mind on something, you will do it no matter what other people say.”

Leaf

Lips
If you saw the lips first, you have a “sensitive and emotional personality”.
“You recognise the evils in society, but choose to see the best in others,” Yilin explained.

“You’re often willing to concede on small things, not because you’re a pushover, but because you can’t be bothered to argue.

“Lastly, your biggest hate is two-faced people who talk behind your back.”

‘So accurate’
Her video has been viewed more than 140,000 times - with many stunned with Yilin’s “accurate” explanation.

“I swear, your interpretation of what I saw in these images is always spot on,” one said.

Another revealed: “I saw the lips, and it’s so true.”

One suggested: “You always get it right! I don’t know how but it’s 100 per cent accurate - I saw the lips.”

While another added: “I saw a leaf first. Why so accurate?”
